Much excitement and activity in the air. New businesses are opening and old ones are coming out of their summer low season hibernation. New faces are appearing everywhere.
Life is good.
SUNDAY November 25
- VIA RECREACTIVA — 8 am to 2 pm. From the Sports Stadium to the Holiday Inn, Fco. Medina Ascencio (the main airport road) will be closed to traffic for a public walk, bicycle, run. Traffic will be diverted to the laterals.
- LA CRUZ FARMERS MARKET (MERCADO HUANACAXTLE) — 10 am to 2 pm at the La Cruz Marina.
- MI AMIGO SIN PELO — 3 pm at Los Arcos on the Malecon. Have your head shaved with a donation for Centro de Atención con Niños con Cáncer (Canica). The goal is to raise 20,000 pesos to help children with cancer here in Vallarta.
- SUNSET MILONGA AND LATIN DANCE PARTY — 4:30 to 8 pm at the Hotel Rosita, Paseo Diaz Ordaz # 901. Free class from 4:30 – 5:30 pm and Dancing from 5:30 – 8 pm (Tango, Salsa, Cumbia, Bachata, Merengue). Drink and food available for purchase.
- CONCERT — Municipal Band, beginning at 6 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE
- PUBLIC DANCE — the Sunday Evening Dance, 7 pm, traditional dancing to live music in the Presidencia Square, FREE
- XUITLA BALLET — 8 pm at Los Arcos del Malecon. Folkloric Dance. Free.
- THE MALECÓN — When the sun goes down, the Malecón comes alive. Come out and see and stroll the new Malecon!

- MALECON SCULPTURE WALKING TOUR — 9:30 am. Gary Thompson leads the best free art tour in Vallarta. Discover the real stories behind the many sculptures on our Malecon.
- EXPATS IN VALLARTA HAPPY HOUR — 5 -7 pm at The Sea Monkey on Los Muertos Beach. Reservations necessary. sarajwise@yahoo.com
WEDNESDAY November 28
- IFC BAZAAR — 10 am to 2 pm at the IFC on insurgentes.
- INTERNATIONAL FOOD FAIR & MARKET — 4 to 7:30 pm at the Paradise Community Center at 127 Pulpito.
- BINGO WITH JOANNA — (in all her finery and at her most outrageous). 6 pm at Nacho Daddy, 180 Basilio Badillo. Benefit for The PuRR Project, a sanctuary for cats.
- VALLARTA ART WALK — 6 to 10 pm. Stroll through 13 downtown art galleries, meet the artists and see some of the finest art Vallarta has to offer. Some galleries offer welcoming cocktails and snacks. Each week is different. Free.
THURSDAY November 29
- VALLARTA SCENE EXPAT MEETUP — 6 pm to 8 pm at Langostino’s on Los Muertos Beach. A lively *extended* informal happy hour get-together for expats, visitors and nationals. Everyone is invited.
- CONCERT — Municipal Band, 7 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE
- LOTERIA (MEXICAN BINGO) — 8 to 10 pm at Bar Frida. “Come and get lucky.” Fabulous prizes. Drink specials. No cover.
FRIDAY November 30
- XUITLA BALLET — 7:30 pm in Lazaro Cardenas Park. Folkloric Dance. Free.

- SATURDAY FARMERS MARKET — At the Paradise Community Center on Pulpito in Old Town. 9 to 1 pm. Year-round (this is the “alternative market”).
- VALLARTA TOURIST FARMERS MARKET — 9:30 am to 2 pm at Caranza and Pino Suarez (This is the “official city-sponsored market”).
- DOGS & CATS — SPCA Pet Adoptions, Los Mangos Library, 10 am to 2 pm.
- LITERARY — PV Writers Group Meeting at Biblioteca Los Mangos, Ave. Francisco Villa 1001 at 1 pm.
- COLORES DE AUYDA ART SHOW — 2 to 6 pm at El Rio BBQ restaurant & bar, Paso Ancho (up the River Cuale). Traditional Art for sale by: Carolina, Ada Colorina, Pat Haley, Ireri Topete and Pedro Tello. Benefit for the Colina free spay and neuter clinic. A portion of all sales will be donated to the clinic.
