The Vallarta Centro A.C. association, in conjunction with Jalisco’s Tourism Secretary, Puerto Vallarta’s Tourism Bureau, and the municipality’s Tourism and Culture Departments, has announced a new, bi-weekly Fiesta Mexicana.
Come to experience the true Mexico to take place on alternating Wednesday evenings at Lázaro Cárdenas Plaza in Old Town Vallarta from 7:00 – 11:00 pm, beginning November 21, 2012.
Vallarta Centro is an organization comprised by ten centrally located hotels in Puerto Vallarta’s El Centro and Emiliano Zapata neighborhoods, grouped together for successful cross-promotion through cultural events, festivals and social media campaigns.
Each event will feature free musical and dance performances by local artists, along with affordable food and beverages provided by local restaurants, such as Le Kliff, Daiquiri Dick’s, Café des Artistes, Coco’s Kitchen, The River Café, El Patio de mi Casa, and several others.
The idea behind their menus is to celebrate Mexican cuisine in the overall spirit of the fiestas, which will also feature games typical of traditional Mexican carnivals.
Access to the event is free (food and beverages are extra). And the current schedule includes fiestas on the following dates:
November 21
December 5 & 19
January 2, 16 & 30
February 13 & 27
March 13 & 27
Organizers hope the event will remain self-sustainable thanks to ongoing sponsors and volunteers. For more information, please email Liney Cornejo at lineycornejo@gmail.com or Martha Dau at marthadau@vallartacentro.com
