Much excitement and activity in the air. New businesses are opening and old ones are coming out of their summer low season hibernation. New faces are appearing everywhere.

SUNDAY November 18
- MOTORCYCLE CONVENTION — 69 Ovejas Negras have the 3rd annual Biker Concentration at the corner of Fluvial and the airport road. Parade, live music, wet t-shirt contest, tattoo exhibition, etc.
- XVIII FESTIVAL GOURMET
- VALLARTAZO VOCHERO EXHIBITION — 8 am to 6 pm at the cruise ship terminal. A display of restored Volkswagens. Free.
- VIA RECREACTIVA — 8 am to 2 pm. From the Sports Stadium to the Holiday Inn, Fco. Medina Ascencio (the main airport road) will be closed to traffic for a public walk, bicycle, run. Traffic will be diverted to the laterals.
- LA CRUZ FARMERS MARKET (MERCADO HUANACAXTLE) — 10 am to 2 pm at the La Cruz Marina.
- SUNSET MILONGA AND LATIN DANCE PARTY — 4:30 to 8 pm at the Hotel Rosita, Paseo Diaz Ordaz # 901. Free class from 4:30 – 5:30 pm and Dancing from 5:30 – 8 pm (Tango, Salsa, Cumbia, Bachata, Merengue). Drink and food available for purchase.
- CONCERT — Municipal Band, beginning at 6 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE
- PUBLIC DANCE — the Sunday Evening Dance, 7 pm, traditional dancing to live music in the Presidencia Square, FREE
- THE MALECÓN — When the sun goes down, the Malecón comes alive. Come out and see and stroll the new Malecon!

- DÍA DE LA REVOLUCIÓN — Original National Holiday. Parade at about 10 am from Cardenas Park to Hidalgo Park.
- MALECON SCULPTURE WALKING TOUR — 9:30 am. Gary Thompson leads the best free art tour in Vallarta. Discover the real stories behind the many sculptures on our Malecon.
WEDNESDAY November 21
- INTERNATIONAL FOOD FAIR & MARKET — 4 to 7:30 pm at the Paradise Community Center at 127 Pulpito.
- BINGO WITH JOANNA — (in all her finery and at her most outrageous). 6 pm at Nacho Daddy, 180 Basilio Badillo. Benefit for The PuRR Project, a sanctuary for cats.
- VALLARTA ART WALK — 6 to 10 pm. Stroll through 13 downtown art galleries, meet the artists and see some of the finest art Vallarta has to offer. Some galleries offer welcoming cocktails and snacks. Each week is different. Free.
THURSDAY November 22
- GRINGO THANKSGIVING
- VALLARTA SCENE EXPAT MEETUP — Replaced by our annual Thanksgiving potluck this week. No meetup. We will return next week at Langostino’s.
- CONCERT — Municipal Band, 7 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE
- LOTERIA (MEXICAN BINGO) — 8 to 10 pm at Bar Frida. “Come and get lucky.” Fabulous prizes. Drink specials. No cover.
FRIDAY November 23
- CONCIERTO DE OTOÑO — 6 pm at Los Mangos Library. Music workshops’ students and teachers celebrate Los Mangos Library’s XVI Anniversary. 50 pesos.
- XUITLA BALLET — 7:30 pm in Lazaro Cardenas Park. Folkloric Dance. Free.
- SATURDAY FARMERS MARKET — At the Paradise Community Center on Pulpito in Old Town. 9 to 1 pm. Year-round (this is the “alternative market”).
- VALLARTA TOURIST FARMERS MARKET — 9:30 am to 2 pm at Caranza and Pino Suarez (This is the “official city-sponsored market”).
- DOGS & CATS — SPCA Pet Adoptions, Los Mangos Library, 10 am to 2 pm.
- LITERARY — PV Writers Group Meeting at Biblioteca Los Mangos, Ave. Francisco Villa 1001 at 1 pm.
- AUTUMN MUSIC FESTIVAL — Benefit for La Brigada de la Basura. From 2 pm on at Que Pasa, 625 Aquiles Serdan. 50 pesos donation. LIVE BANDS: Cesar Medina, Joe King Carrasco, Texas Embassy Blues Band, Joe Heininge, Chris Kenny and Paradise 96.
