PRO-DANZA PRESENTA “DANZA DE LA BAHIA”

Pro-Danza

On Wednesday, March 26, at 8pm at the Los Arcos Amphitheater on the Malecón, The Academy of Classical Dance “Pro-Danza” (Directed by Déborah Bravo) will present a classical ballet, “Danza en la Bahia.”

Pro-Danza is a local Classical Ballet School in Colonia Versalles.

Grupo Ikbal will perform on Saturday, March 22 at 8pm at the Los Arcos Amphitheater on the Malecón. Free

This group of 25 dancers, under the direction of Professor Ari Michelle Ruiz of La Acacemia Dance Studio, will perform traditional Arabic belly dancing.

The group has performed widely in Guadalajara in Encuentro Nacional de Arabe, Fiestas de Octubre, Trompo Magico, among others.

Aloha is the Hawaiian word used to greet and bless visitors, which could be translated roughly as beauty, peace, enjoyment, or you are blessed.

Aloha Polynesian Dance

The culture of Hawaii defines “Aloha Spirit” as a motivation that is expressed through joy, courtesy, friendliness and reasonableness, and not without considering other aspects such as serenity, sensuality and a healthy pride.

This spirit of Aloha will be shared in a dance concert at the Los Arcos Ampitheater on Saturday, March 1 at 8 pm. The performance is Free.

This is a program of classic and neoclassic ballet that includes 10 pieces with variations of Don Quijote, Strawberry Fields, Stoa, among others.

Xiutla Folkloric Ballet

Xiutla Ballet
Xiutla was the first name of Vallarta and means, in Náhuatl, “the Place where the Vegetation grows.”

These dedicated young people, from only 30 in the first year, have grown to be almost two hundred now. They have traveled in the last couple of years around Mexico and in the United States and Canada and they have represented their country with pride and have danced wholeheartedly.
