Inexpensive pay-as-you-go cell phones can be bought in many locations in Vallarta. Typically, they are around 300 pesos and come with 100 or 200 “minutes.” The minutes can be conveniently recharged in many stores such as OXXO and Walmart. In Mexico, cell phone charges apply only to calls that you make, not to incoming calls.
