“Expats Helping Expats and Having Fun Doing It”

Expats in Vallarta is a group of expats from different countries, mostly from the U.S. and Canada, living in the Puerto Vallarta area. The purpose of the group is informal fellowship and assistance for expat residents or visitors living, working or investing around Vallarta or considering it. There is no membership fee or requirement; pay only for what you consume or use.

2009-2010 Season Opens November 14 for the Santa Barbara Theater

We are still looking for shows at the Santa Barbara Theater

Contact Ann Marie with your proposal for the upcoming season. We would love to see a complete play or musical to add to the stellar line up of dance and variety/cabaret style shows we have booked. We are also hiring for many positions including a karaoke host for Sunday night and someone to sing and play in our late night piano bar on Wednesdays.

Attention Producers/Directors: Santa Barbara Theater Booking Shows for the 2009 – 2010 Season. Please submit your show ideas no later than August 31st. Send an email or drop by the theater!

The Box office and the Broadway Cafe will open on October 19th. Season tickets will be available this year and you can look forward to many special events starting with a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.

Our season opener will be “Fosse: from Chicago to Sweet Charity to Cabaret” directed by our own Freddy and Paul which will open Saturday, November 14th.

The Forgotten Village, 1941, written by John Steinbeck.

The Forgotten Village in this powerful 1 hour, 6 minute documentary is an imaginary poverty-stricken community in the Central Mexico high plateau. This film is a rare glimpse into the customs and daily life of 1930s rural Mexico. In stark detail, The Forgotten Village is a record of the life-cycle and struggles of a typical peasant family, from birth to death, in facing the approach of modern life. The narration and screen play for The Forgotten Village was written by novelist John Steinbeck.
