The Puerto Vallarta Department of Tourism Cordially Invites You To “World Tourism Day” Festivities. Open to all.

This year’s theme is “Celebrating Diversity,” and since the restaurants around Vallarta offer a wide variety of the world’s most sensational cuisines, as part of the city’s World Tourism Day celebrations more than 20 Puerto Vallarta restaurants will be offering samples of their most popular dishes at the Presidencia Municipal (City Hall) this Sunday.

WHAT: Restaurant Food Sampling, Music, Wine & Tequila Tasting Festival
WHEN: Sunday, September 27th, 2009
TIME: 7PM
WHERE: City Hall (across from Los Arcos)
HOW IT WORKS:
Participants will purchase festival tickets at City Hall on the day of the event. The festival tickets are your currency for the evening. One festival ticket equals 10 pesos. Use your festival tickets to experience all the food sampling from area restaurants, food establishments, beverages, wine and tequila tastings that fit your budget for the day. One food sampling equals one festival ticket. There will also be live mariachi music.

AZ Teatro presents the comedy, MEXICADANADAS by Asdruval Cavande, with Adan Zhubert.

A public guide on a journey of reflection on national identity for Mexicans, tackling issues of national history, malinchismo, chauvinism, politics, television, humor, myths and migration.

Premier: September 21, 8:30 pm at Cuale Cultural Center.

Performances at 6 pm and 8:30 pm on September 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30. Price 60 pesos. In Spanish.

Puerto Vallarta EarthDance 2009 » September 26 and 27

For 2nd time in Puerto Vallarta we´ll have this amazing festival for peace. Saturday and Sunday, September 26 and 27 in Boca. There will be live music, camping, food, art, DJs and a circus. The price is $150 pesos at the door and $100 advance purchase. Gates open at 4 pm on September 26.

Earthdance was conceived in 1996 by artist/musician Chris Deckker, as a vision to unite the whole world through the universal platform of dance and music. Earthdance has now become the largest global synchronized dance event in the world.

Earthdance - Give Peace a Dance!

Earthdance has shown how the potent combination of music, dance and technology can be harnessed for positive and humanitarian aims. For one night all around the globe, people join together to dance as one global community, united with a common vision for peace and humanitarian aims.

Each year Earthdance has a theme, this time being: “Blessing the Children” and a percentage of the profit will be donated to Mundo Ceiba A.C., an organization with ecological activities operating in Oaxaca and Puerto Vallarta. This year Mundo Ceiba received a donation of a piece of land to build an ecological school, to bring workshops to the children and adults interested in taking care of mother nature.

Force productions supports national artists and this time they´ll bring 4 electronic projects with their talented live acts. Rasta Vibracion will give a live reggae concert on Sunday morning.

Also, talented djs that have played in NY and in other locations around Mexico will be in charge of keeping the party on.

Join Earthdance to give peace a dance this September 26th. At 5pm will be a prayer for peace synchronizing 360 locations in 60 countries around the world!!
