Grupo Ecológico de Puerto Vallarta, dog walk is Sunday, October 4 at 8:30 am on the banks of the River Pitillal, Leaving from Civil Defense (Proteccion Civil -200 meters from Medina Ascencio up to Peninsula), Hope you can all make it and invite friends!!

The Proteccion Civil is right across the street from Monica’s Bay View Can Dog Boarding “Resort”. Many dog people might know it.

Go on Av Francisco Medina Ascencio, which is road to airport, cross the Rio Pitillal and take first right just across from the NH Krystal. It is just barely past Plaza Peninsula. If you are driving you need to be on the Lateral road.

One can get there via WalMart bus and get off right around there and walk up to Bay View.

Que?Pasa Boat Bash » October 17

Saturday, October 17, Que?Pasa will celebrate its 5th Annual Boat Bash. This year we will meet at the Cruise ship marina at 11 am The boat will leave by noon.

While on board enjoy an open bar(beer and cocktails) and the live music of the Zippers. Sometime in early afternoon we will have lunch at Las Animas.

Returning to the marina around 5:30 everyone is invited to Que?Pasa for a surf and turf dinner and live music with the Traveling Band. Cost for the whole affair is 500 pesos. We would like you to sign up either at Que?Pasa or Asaderos.

2009 – 2010 Puerto Vallarta Art Walk

2009 – 2010 PUERTO VALLARTA OLD TOWN ART WALK

October 28th is the date of the first Puerto Vallarta Old Town Art Walk of the 2009-2010 season. Some of the 16 participating galleries will be decorated with a theme of Day of the Dead, which is celebrated in Mexico every November 1st and 2nd.

The Puerto Vallarta Art Walk is held every Wednesday night from 6 to 10 pm from October 28, 2009, through the end of May, 2010. All galleries are open to the public each Wednesday evening and many serve refreshments and wine. The participating galleries present paintings in all media, sculptures, fine ceramics, and unique jewelry.

Entrance is free and there is no guide, so you can visit the galleries of your choice and stay as long as you like. Featured artists are often present and exhibitions are changed frequently. If you miss the opening exhibit you can visit the galleries during their regular hours.

This is a great way to know more about the art and culture of Vallarta and Mexico and to meet old and new friends.

Parking is available in secure commercial parking lots at Plaza Juarez and Hidalgo Park.

2009 Puerto Vallarta ConComics » October 24 and 25

On Saturday and Sunday, October 24 and 25, the ConComics comic book, science fiction and fantasy convention returns to Puerto Vallarta at the Los Mangos Biblioteca. Many activities and sales of items related to the theme.

General Admission is $40 pesos per day, VIP Admission is $70 pesos for the two days.
