Announcing the creation of Condos, Casas & Cocktails, a free bi-monthly event at Garbo’s co-sponsored by Tropicasa Realty and MEXLend Mortgages. On the first and third Monday of every month at 5:30 pm, Tropicasa and MEXLend will host a 1 hour informal conversation and Q&A about purchasing and financing a home in Mexico. Garbo’s will offer drink specials and light snacks will be provided.

“We have discovered so many people that have questions about how to buy homes here in paradise and what loan options are available here, yet they didn’t want to take the time to set-up a formal meeting in our offices while on vacation, so we created and informal, fun and personal way to answer their questions” stated Wayne Franklin, President of Tropicasa Realty. “This allows one-on-one contact in a casual atmosphere” added David Schwendeman, co-founder and COO of MEXLend.

The public is invited to join in Condos, Casas & Cocktails every 1st & 3rd Monday of each month at Garbo’s for an informal, yet informative conversation and Q&A about purchasing and financing a home in Mexico.

2009 Peñitas Surf Tournament » November 13 -15

One of the little known secrets in the area (known only by local surfers), the waves around here in various areas, are top-notch for surfing.

If you are looking for some fun in the sun, attend this exciting surfing tournament in Playa Peñitas! Whether you are a surfer or a “watcher”, these tournaments are exciting, action-packed and well attended by the local surfing communities. The Mexican Association of Surfing is a small, but fast-growing association bringing surfing tourism to the Banderas Bay and local surrounding areas.

Not only does this bring recognition to the amazing beaches of the area, it stimulates the economy in some of the very small beach towns.

There’s nothing there except for great surf and a beautiful beach and a few empty palapas. We all camp out. Food is provided vendors from Tomatlan or Campo Acosta and/or an improvised sea food tent on the site…

Puerto Vallarta Google Street View Maps

Any published map of Puerto Vallarta (such as the maps we offer on our MAPS page) can be turned into visual street view maps by clicking on the “Google” word at the bottom left hand corner of the map.

When this is done, you are redirected to a google maps page and an new map of the same area, but this map has different controls on it that enable a visual tour of the area you select. The resolution is good enough to read newspaper headlines if a newspaper were to be held up on a building window.

Google Street View maps of Puerto Vallarta are now available in 3D if you use inexpensive blue/red 3D glasses to view them.
