Giving the Gift of Laughter
At P.J.’s Comedy Club at The San Franciscan Resort
Not often is one afforded the opportunity to split a gut laughing so hard it hurts while simultaneously helping someone truly in need. Just such a chance is being offered Saturday January 31, 2009 by P.J. Ensminger owner of Vallarta’s new Comedy Club located in the San Franciscan Resort.
“Gib Hauersperger has been a wonderful friend to so many people here in Puerto Vallarta, this is a fantastic opportunity for us to help him in a way that will really make a difference – and laugh while doing so.” Said PJ.
Gib, who has been undergoing very expensive treatment for cancer, has been a resident of Puerto Vallarta for over six years. He has assisted countless people from his various concierge desks during his time living here and continues to do so now at Blue Seas Beach Club. His contributions to Vallarta, and to the Gay community here, are innumerable.
The show begins at 8:00PM at P.J.’s Comedy Club located in the San Franciscan Resort at 213 Calle Pilitas, just east of Olas Altas in Vallarta’s Romantic Zone. There will be plenty to drink and lots of delicious Mexican snacks (botanas) provided by Hotel Casa Cupula who is co-hosting the event with the Comedy Club.

Sunday, January 25, at 6 pm, there will be a benefit musical jam session at the Santa Barbara Theater and Broadway Cafe for Ann Marie Danimus, owner of the Theater, and all proceeds go to the Santa Barbara Theater Recovery Fund. If you value theater in Puerto Vallarta, this is a good way to become involved.

After Obama gives inaugural address, he will escort outgoing President George W. Bush to a departure ceremony before attending a luncheon in the Capitol’s Statuary Hall.
The 56th Inaugural Parade will then make its way down Pennsylvania Avenue from the Capitol to the White House.
THE DAY AFTER: PVScene, along with its sister webstite, VallartaScene, and Casa Isabel was in this parade and it is by far the best parade Vallarta has ever seen. I hope it continues as a tradition. 1000s of people lined the parade route. Hundreds of people participated. Photos to follow…
There will be a parade celebrating Carnaval Puerto Vallarta 2009, on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 10 pm. The parade will start and end at Club Mañana and move along Venustiano Carranza, Olas Altas, Pulito and Lázaro Cardenas.
We urge all legitimate organizations and businesses to participate in what we hope will be an annual Puerto Vallarta event. Already we have several participants from Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara.
The theme of the parade will be “Celebration of Life” and participants should theme their entry. This is going to be a great event!!! Pre-registration is required and a small fee will be charged; the fee for non-profits is waived. For registration or information: USE THIS FORM
Possible parade entries include cars, floats, people holding banners, and marching bands etc. Although it is anticipated that most of the entries will be gay related, the parade is open to any legitimate organization that wants to participate. The entry fee of $250 pesos will be charged to cover administration costs and to ensure the integrity of the parade. This fee is waived for non-profit organizations.
Club Mañana is hosting the greatest Carnaval and Mardi Gras parties Puerto Vallarta has ever seen – for four nights beginning Saturday February 21 and ending on Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) February 24, 2009
