GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Party Lounge is an inexpensive, fun alternative to the glam clubs of the Malecon and only a few blocks north. Downstairs is a take-out large-cup bar that opens at 1 pm and upstairs is a metallic, blue-glowing wonderland of loud dj music and vinyl lounges and industrial bar stools and tables. The strong drinks (many varieties) are 80 pesos for 1 liter and 50 pesos for half that. At happy hour and on special occasions, drinks are 2 for 1, served at the same time. The balcony seating has a nice view of Park Hidalgo and the interior is comfy and sexy. The clientele are a nice mixture of local and tourist.

Fodor’s Review:
This place is open daily after 1 PM for stop-and-go drinks: mainly litros, that is, 32-ounce tequila sunrises, Long Island ice teas, piña coladas, and the like. The upstairs bar is open 8 PM to 4 AM and plays ’70s, ’80s, and lounge music, making it popular with an older set, foreign and domestic.
