GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Nel is a small, hole in the wall bar/cantina in a prime location. It doesn’t take advantage of this location and is a bit of a dive (not in a bad way). The beer is cold and cheap, the drinks are OK, as long as you don’t order something exotic like margaritas. The food is for the really drunk. The jukebox seems to be the main attraction and is often very, very loud. Nels is much more of cantina than a bar and it is directed much more towards residents than tourists. There is a “Prohibito Excupir” sign on the wall.
