Within the traditional celebrations of Day of the Dead, members of the education sector and the municipality of Puerto Vallarta will transform the resting area of the 5 de Diciembre cemetery into a stage for the presentation of the play, “La Vida Inútil de Pito Pérez” (The useless life of Pito Pérez), written by Jose Romero Galván.
This is the first time a play will be presented inside of the cemetery. There will be two performances: Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, 1 November, at 7 pm.
Admission is free but there is room for only about 80 people at each presentation. Invitations are being prepared, “Una hora con la muerte y algo más” (An hour with the Dead and Something More…).
A new tradition in the making.
