At sundown on September 18th, we mark the dawn of the Jewish New Year. Rosh HaShana is a wonderful time to consider where we have been and where we are going in this new year. It is a time for reflection and hope. I can think of no better way to celebrate this date than by sharing a table with our friends. 2009 has been a tough year for those of us in Puerto Vallarta. But the time has come to celebrate and anticipate the successes of the new year.
On September 19th, we will share challah and apples and honey. Allyna Vineberg has generously offered to host this event in her beautiful condo which overlooks the Bay. We will share matzoh ball soup, gefilte fish, homemade challah, dates, beets and leeks as well as a main course of Roasted Chicken with a Pomegranate Glaze.
The event is limited to 25 individuals. Reservations and prepayment are required to ensure participation. To book for this wonderful holiday, please contact Seth at seth (at) FoodbySeth.com or by calling 322 131-8808. The cost of the evening will be $350 pesos and includes all food and wine. As many of the ingredients are being ordered from Mexico City, reservations must be made by September 8th.
Shanah Tova!
