February 16-20th, 2011, is the 9th annual Puerto Vallarta Charrería, this year called Copa Vallarta Millonaria Charrería. It will be held at the Charro Miguel “Prieto” Ibarria in Puerto Vallarta. Over 35 of the best National teams will compete. Highlights of this event are the Tradicional Maleconeada on Friday night at around 11 pm when hundreds of charros and their fans stroll the Malecon, drinking tequila and playing music. On Wednesday, the 16th, is the Popular Dance beginning at 8 pm in the Presidencia Square.

- 19:00 – DeCharros UP, Charros del Asadero and Charros de Vallarta
- 20:00 – Popular Verbena in the Presidencia Plaza with The Xiutla Folkoric Ballet, mariachi music, floreadores and cantante de música vernácula. Free and everyone invited.
Friday the 18th
- 11:30 – Tres Regalos, Rancho El Quevedeño and Hacienda Tamariz –B-
- 15:00 – El Cócono, Rancho Santa Fe, Rancho El Olivo, Rancho Agua Santa.
- 19:00- Rancho Nuevo de Tepa, Dorados de Oaxtepec, Charros de Santo Cristo and San Miguel Tlalixtac.
- 23:00 (approximately) – Tradicional Maleconeada. Charros, Chicas, live music from a brass band, and free tequila dispensed generously from a push cart while hundreds of people casually stroll and dance down the Malecón from Park Hidalgo to the wee hours. Free and everyone is invited.
Saturday the 19th
- 11:30 – Tres Potrillos, Tequila don Roberto and Tequila Hacienda Vieja –A-.
- 15:00 – Hacienda Tamariz –A-(Campeones Nacionales), Rancho El Jaralito, Valle de Saltillo and La Colonial de Jerez.
