A most unusual night. This event has been held in Mexico City for the last 10 years and is here in Vallarta for the first time. During the event, there are discussions about and reactions to the 400 commercials viewed on large screen. The pace is intense and the goal is to view the world through the mirrors of the eyes of the societies’ commercial artists.

The fourth edition of the annual Vallarta Film Festival, to take place from December 5th to 9th, will feature the Environmentalist Section, with a selection of documentary films that should promote among the audience both ecological conscience and the importance of caring for our planet.
This year the Environmentalist Section is comprised of five documentaries plus a special screening of Planet Earth –a BBC nature documentary TV series that consists of eleven episodes.

One of the most outstanding films to be presented in this section is The 11th Hour, a feature film documentary created, produced and narrated by three-time Academy Award nominee actor Leonardo DiCaprio (Titanic, The Aviator, The Departed).

From December 5th to 9th, get ready to enjoy a distinctive selection of six Latin American films such as “The Past”, starring Gael Garcia, and “XXY”, winner of the Critics’ Week Grand Prize at the Cannes film festival
Nuevo Vallarta, Nay. – The Vallarta Film Festival is pleased to announce the films representing the Latin American Section of its fourth annual edition, to take place on December 5th to 9th of this year at the facilities of Cinemark Plaza Caracol.
This section will showcase a selection of six feature films representing the current trends in Latin American cinema, including Hector Babenco’s The Past –the most recent production starring Mexican heartthrob Gael Garcia Bernal- and XXY, the awarded movie debut of Argentinean filmmaker Lucia Puenzo. One Long Night, Under the Same Moon, Dream Havana, and Posada complete the program.
