Langostino’s

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Langostino’s is a very comfortable, affordable beach-front bar in the center of the activity on Los Muertos Beach, just a short distance north of the Los Muertos pier. It is set up as half bar and half restaurant. Live music is often offered on weekend nights. You can sit on the beach under palapas or in the restaurant/bar, itself. Langostino’s was sold in 2010 and is now Canadian owned. Nice.

Festival Navideño » December 13 to 18

From December 13 to 18, you are invited to celebrate the Puerto Vallarta Christmas Festival with the following events.

December 13 to 18: Exhibition of Nativity scenes with a “passport raffle” at the Premiere, Buenaventura, Rosita, Rio, Cathedral, Belmar, Posada de Roger, Eloisa, Playa Los Arcos and Villa Mercedes Hotels.

December 13 to 17: Christmas carols in the Presidencia Plaza, Parroquia de Guadalupe and park Lazaro Cardenas.

December 18 at 5:30 pm: A procession, the petition for shelter, starting at the Hotel Rosita, proceeding along the Malecon to the Mercado de Artesanias Cuale (the city crafts mercado).

December 18: Following the procession, a Grand Posada outside the Mercado on the Agustin Rodriguez street with Kermes, Piñatas, Raffles, Music, food, etc …

Fiesta Vallarta 2011

Here’s the program for the Puerto Vallarta New Years Celebration on the Malecon:

Features:

  • Mega Stage on the Malecon
  • 150.000 watt sound system
  • LED lighting, robotics and lasers
  • 4 mega screens
  • Full half hour of fireworks at midnight

The main act this year will be the approximate 30 minute fireworks spectacular at midnight. The fireworks will be set off along the length of the Malecon including Los Arcos, the Sea Horse and across from La Dolce Vita restaurant.

There will also be live music and assorted circus and dance performances.

A second fireworks display will be set off at 2 am above the south Malecon where the “after party” dance event will be held at Oscar’s (300 pesos at the door). The city has confirmed that it has invested close to $300,000 pesos to usher in the New Year.
