2012 Becas Ball

This social event of the season is going to be better than ever with a Spanish theme and the setting on the shores of the beautiful Bahia de Banderas at the Club Regina in the Marina. We are suggesting a dress code of red, black or white, if possible, which will make a gorgeous array of color to add to this beautiful site.

2012 Puerto Vallarta Becas Ball

Los Bambinos will play and sing for the cocktail hour which begins at 6:30. This will be followed by a fabulous sit down dinner with wine and entertainment by Odisea from Ciudad Guzman. Then this versatile band will play for your dancing pleasure with many surprises during the evening. There will be door prizes, gift bags being prepared by Marcelo Mica Pilates and Timothy Real Estate Group and a Silent Auction with art from Vallarta’s best including Ada Colorina and Marta Gilbert, jewelry from Cassandra Shaw and June Rosen, dinner from Vallarta’s 5 star restaurants and much, much more.

Tickets are only $100 US or $1200 pesos and must be purchased in advance. Tables of 10 can be reserved when you have a least 8 paid tickets. You can get your tickets from any member of Becas. You can also reserve tickets at 223-1371 or 044-322-182-0215 or at phvicars@gmail.com

This is Becas Vallarta’s major fund raiser which we hope will ensure that we can keep our almost 400 of Vallarta’s brightest and best young people in school pursuing their educational dreams. That is where you and we come in. Come, eat, drink and make merry while actually changing the entire life of a young person who may one day be the Mayor of Puerto Vallarta or perhaps the President of Mexico!

2012 Vallarta Carnaval Parade

2012 Puerto Vallarta Carnaval ParadePuerto Vallarta’s Mardi Gras Carnaval Parade 2012 will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012.

For one evening Puerto Vallarta comes alive like at no other time of the year. This 4th annual Mardi Gras parade will wind its way through Puerto Vallarta’s beautiful and colorful Malecón and Zona Romantica. It is always exciting and surprising, with more than 100 entries with thousands of people watching.

2012 is the fourth year of the Puerto Vallarta Mardi Gras Carnaval Parade. It was created and sponsored for the first 3 years of its existence by Peter Deep of the now closed Club Manana. This year it is organized by a small, independent committee of volunteers and is sponsored by the city of Puerto Vallarta. All fees collected from the parade entries and from donations and sponsorships will be used for the various (and numerous) operating expenses beyond what the city covers.

The Parade will be held Saturday, February 18, from 9 pm until approximately midnight, beginning at the top of the new Malecón and continuing down through the Zona Romantica past Olas Altas. Everyone is invited to participate. Please join us.
