A contest for the Queen of the Fiestas (the Grito and Independence Day celebrations) is being held for girls between 15 and 20 years old who have been born in or have lived in Puerto Vallarta for 5 years. Prizes include $15,000 pesos for first place, $10,000 for second and $5,000 for third.
