Digital Offerings for the Altar of Life
The First International Day of the Dead Exhibit 2007
Digital Offerings for the Altar of Life invites artists worldwide to submit their art via a specially created web site. In addition, artists and non-artists can submit photos of deceased people they want to honor. These digital images will be printed, mounted and hung in the exhibit space. Other images will be selected for a digital, slideshow montage.

The global community is being asked to submit:
- Photos or images of altars with an explanation of what an altar means in their part of the world and in their culture.
- Photos or artwork of someone who has died and who the artist wants to honor.
- Photos or images illustrating how a culture mourns or celebrates when someone close to them passes away.
Artists are asked to include text about how the dead, in their culture, their city and/or their family are honored.
