The municipal government of Puerto Vallarta has organized an event called “Espectáculo Pyromusical” a Pyromusical Fiesta, a show of fireworks and multicolored lights at midnight, December 31, 2008, at 3 locations on the Malecón: the Los Arcos Amphitheater, the Sea Horse sculpture and the sculptures of Neptune and Nereida.

The street bordering the Malecón, Paseo Díaz Ordaz, will be closed to vehicular traffic from 5 pm on. For safety, people are asked not to bring liquids in glass and aluminum containers.

Los Arcos fireworksDuring the event, there will be a show of computer simulation in the third dimension, a combination of visual beauty and music that includes a mixture of Carmina Burana and la Oda a la Alegría, in performance before the midnight fireworks.

At the 00:00 hour there will be a spectacular fireworks show (including aerial and traditional Castillos) lasting about 40 minutes. Thousands of people are expected on the Malecón for this Puerto Vallarta Tradition.
