The Puerto Vallarta Daily Schedule of Events is continually updated. Last-minute additions and corrections are frequent. Click on most listings for more information about individual events.

SUNDAY January 19

  • VIA RECREACTIVA — 8 am to 2 pm. From the Sports Stadium to the Holiday Inn, Fco. Medina Ascencio (the main airport road) will be closed to traffic for a public walk, bicycle, run. Traffic will be diverted to the laterals.
  • MERCADO HUANACAXTLE — 9 am to 2 pm in the La Cruz Marina.
  • SPRING CONCERT — by La Orquesta Escuela de Puerto Vallarta. Noon. At Teatro Vallarta. Introduction by Paco Ojeda (in English 11 am – in Spanish 11:30 am). 100 pesos.
  • SUNSET MILONGA — 4:30 to 8 pm at the Hotel Rosita, at the top of the Malecon. Free tango lessons from 4:30 to 5:30 and then tango dancing until 8. Food and drink available for purchase.
  • CONCERT — Municipal Band, beginning at 6 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE
  • PUBLIC DANCE — the Sunday Evening Dance, 7 pm, traditional dancing to live music in the Presidencia Square, FREE
  • THE MALECÓN — When the sun goes down, the Malecón comes alive. Come out and stroll the Malecon. It’s a Sunday tradition here.

MONDAY January 20

TUESDAY January 21

  • MALECON SCULPTURE WALKING TOUR — 9:30 am. Gary Thompson leads the best free art tour in Vallarta. Discover the real stories behind the many sculptures on our Malecon.
  • IFC HOME TOURS — 10:30 am. Benefits the charity programs of the International Friendship Club. Leaves from the Sea Monkey on Los Muertos beach. 450 pesos.
  • EXPATS IN VALLARTA HAPPY HOUR — 5 -7 pm at Langostino’s on Los Muertos Beach. Reservations necessary. sarajwise@yahoo.com

WEDNESDAY January 22

  • IFC BAZAAR — 10 am to 2 pm at the IFC Clubhouse, across from the Municipal market downtown. Household items, clothing, vintage jewelry, and more.
  • IFC HOME TOURS — 10:30 am. Benefits the charity programs of the International Friendship Club. Leaves from the Sea Monkey on Los Muertos beach. 450 pesos.
  • PURR PROJECT BINGO — 4:30 pm at Margarita Grill on Basilio Badillo. Half time entertainment by the Dueling Drag Divas (Chi Chi Rones
    and Joanna Show). Raffles, prizes, etc. Proceeds benefit the 150+ cats residing at PuRR Project, a no-kill feline sanctuary north of Puerto Vallarta.
  • CENTRO VALLARTA ART WALK — 6 to 10 pm, visit 10 of Vallarta’s finest galleries in a casual evening of cocktails and art. Meet the artists. Free.

THURSDAY January 23

  • VALLARTA SCENE EXPAT MEETUP — 5 pm to 8 pm at Casa Isabel, on a hill overlooking Old Town. A lively *extended* informal happy hour get-together for expats, visitors and nationals. Everyone is invited.
  • MARINA VALLARTA FARMERS MARKET — 6 to 10 pm on the boardwalk.
  • CONCERT — Municipal Band, 7 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE

FRIDAY January 24

  • SOUTHSIDE SHUFFLE — 6 to 10 pm on Basilio Badillo. Wandering musicians, food and drink provided by the local galleries and businesses. An open house/open street. Free. Every other Friday through April 4.

SATURDAY January 25

  • SATURDAY FARMERS MARKET — At the Paradise Community Center on Pulpito in Old Town. 9 to 1 pm. Year-round (this is the “alternative market”).
  • ADOPTON — 9 am to 7 pm at the Presidencia. Many animal adoption organizations are present to offer dogs and cats for adoption.
  • VALLARTA TOURIST FARMERS MARKET — 9:30 am to 2 pm at the L. Cardenas Park (This is the “official city-sponsored market”).
  • DOGS & CATS — SPCA Pet Adoptions, Los Mangos Library, 10 am to 2 pm.
  • PV WRITERS GROUP — PV Writers Group Meeting at the Boutique Theatre, on Basilio Badillo, corner of Naranjo just before the small tunnel., at 10:30 am til noon.
  • Bossa Nova, Kim Kuzma and Other Musical Musings — 5 pm at the Palm. A musical appreciation lecture by Paco Ojeda. 100 pesos plus a 2 drink minimum.

SUNDAY January 26
