Traditional Full Moon Temazcal Ceremony
The Vallarta Botanical Gardens are offering our first ever traditional temazcal ceremony.
This opportunity is much more than a basic sweat-lodge; it is a ritual and therapeutic experience led by noted Chamán Victor Urbina Bello, also known as Ozo Matlin, his nahuatl name. The ceremony will be held along the tranquil banks of the Río Horcones at the border of the Gardens.
The heat from volcanic stones combined with humidity and medicinal herbs used in this purifying experience are invigorating to the mind, body, and spirit. The physical benefits attributed to temazcal include: increased circulation, relaxed muscles, the easement of chronic pain, decreased uric acid, regulation of the nervous system, and improved respiration.
Saturday, May 21st and Sunday, May 22nd at 10 am, $400 pesos each day.
