SUNDAY May 8
- MARCH FOR PEACE — Beginning at 5 pm at Park Hidalgo and moving to the Presidencia, this is part of a national campaign for peace. Wear white, walk in silence.
- CONCERT — Municipal Band, 6 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE
- DANCE — Dancing begins at 7 pm, with the 8th anniversary of the Sunday Evening Dance at 8 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE
- THE ORIGINALS (drag show) — 8 pm, At the Palm, Olas Altas no. 508, 322 222 5957. 100 pesos
- THE MALECÓN — When the sun goes down, the Malecón comes alive.
MONDAY May 9
- DANZA PREHISPANICA — 7 pm at Park Hidalgo. Free.
TUESDAY May 10
- DI´A de la MADRE, MOTHER’S DAY — Not an “official” holiday but an extremely popular holiday in Mexico. Here in Puerto Vallarta, it is one of the most active days of celebration for the whole year.
- MALECON SCULPTURE TOUR — 9:30 am, meet at the Millennium sculpture on the north end of the Malecón in front of Hotel Rosita for a free, guided tour of Vallarta’s famous Malecon sculptures.
- DANZA PREHISPANICA — 7 pm at Park Hidalgo. Free.
- MOVIE – EATING OUT — 7:30 pm at the SETAC community center, Constitucion 427. 20 pesos donation. English w/Spanish sub.
WEDNESDAY May 11
- VALLARTA ART WALK — 6 – 10 pm, self-guided tours of Centro art galleries, some with drinks and snacks.
- THE ORIGINALS (drag show) — 8 pm, At the Palm, Olas Altas no. 508, 322 222 5957. 100 pesos
THURSDAY May 12
- VALLARTASCENE THURSDAY NIGHT PARTY — 5 – 8 pm happy hour at Casa Isabel. Everyone invited to a casual, inexpensive, social evening with the best affordable view in Vallarta.
- SPECIAL EVENT — 7:30 at Los Arcos Amphitheater. Presentations by the governor of Jalisco and other dignitaries, plus ballet folclórico Vallarta Azteca and mariachi Estrella de Jalisco with snacks and drinks following the presentations. A PAN political event.
FRIDAY May 13
- DANZA PREHISPANICA — 7 pm at Park Hidalgo. Free.
SATURDAY May 14
- FARMERS MARKET – VALLARTA — 10 am to 2 pm at the New Paradise Community Center, Pulpito #127 (across from Coco’s Restaurant).
- DOGS & CATS — Pet Adoptions, Los Mangos Library, 10 am to 2 pm
- LITERARY — Vallarta Writers’ Group Meeting, 10:30 am, Los Mangos Biblioteca.
- KIM KUZMA / GRAND OPENING AZUL AGAVE SKY LOUNGE — 6 pm to 1 am with performances at 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 pm. No cover. Amaca Hotel, Pino Suarez 583, Colonia Emliano Zapata.
- LA MUERTE CHIQUITA — 7 pm, at the Cuale Cultural Center. A play by Boa viagem teatro, for open minds only. In Spanish. 60 pesos.
