There is an archaeological site in Ixtapa, very close to downtown Puerto Vallarta, where the pre-Hispanic dance group “Xiuhcoatl” has created the ceremonial center “Aztatlan” with the support of the Municipal Government of Puerto Vallarta.
On March 20, 21, and 22, 2009, there will be a celebration of the Vernal Equinox at this site with a program that includes traditional dances, conferences and purification ceremonies. Everyone is invited to experience all events and to learn a little about the new center.
Access is free and a donation is suggested for participation in the purification ceremonies.
