The Puerto Vallarta Writers Group will host its third annual Writers Weekend Workshop from Friday to Sunday, February 8-10, 2008, at the International Friendship Club downtown.
The principle speaker will be Dan Poynter, a leading expert on Self_Publishing, and author of The Self-Publishing Manual, now in its 6th edition. Sources such as CNN, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal have recognized Dan Poynter as the leading authority in this exploding sector of commercial publishing.
A professional speaker, Dan Poynter addresses audiences around the globe; inspiring writers to achieve their dream of becoming published authors, then guiding them through the ever evolving maze of marketing. Included in Mr. Poynter’s presentation are well-prepared handouts containing a wealth of information on all aspects of self-publishing.

Registration for the conference is $70 (US) or $750 pesos before December 31, 2007, and $80 (US) or $850 pesos after that date.
A Wine and Cheese Reception is planned for Friday evening, February 8. A No-Host Cocktail Reception (with hors d’oeuvres offered) will be held Saturday evening at one of our finest beach side restaurants – with a special surprise planned for this event. The conference will conclude Sunday afternoon with our ongoing tradition of a Book Signing by local authors at The Lazy Lizard Restaurant and Beach Bar.
