The Puerto Vallarta Scene sells books in association with Amazon.com. We receive a small percentage of the sales of books purchased by this method. Your price is exactly the same as you would pay going directly to Amazon and all financial transactions are through Amazon.com, not through the slackers here at the Scene….
We have chosen the selection of books available in this Mercado for relevancy and accuracy. We have also included a section of Travel Accessories, items that we have found helpful.

Puerto Vallarta has become Mexico’s favorite gay destination in recent years, attracting gay travelers from around the world who are drawn to its mix of Old Mexico charm, casual atmosphere, beautiful beaches and fantastic year-round weather.
So Atlantis is starting this year off right with a Mexican Celebration Cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Seas. The whole ship is chartered and sold out.
Wise Women of Vallarta Reunite

Wise Women of Vallarta are back in the swing of things for the high season! For our first speaker we welcome Dr. Linda Abbott Trapp, who will speak in the Hospital Cornerstone meeting room on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from 10 am to 12 noon.
Suppose you had just one chance to tell those you love what you have learned in this life. What would you say? What could you tell them about how to find love, fulfillment, joy, contentment – and how to avoid the worst of life – pain, frustration, jealousy, feelings of worthlessness?

If you like blues, vintage R&B and good old rock & roll, don’t miss this show at CyCs!
The Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise will make a stop in Vallarta October 16. On board is a stellar line up of Blues and R&B talent including my friend Ron Thompson from Oakland, California. I toured in the US Midwest with Ron each year from1989 to 1992, then again July to August 2006, and May to June this year.
When Ron was booked for the cruise he asked me to set up a show for us in Vallarta. The show will be at Cuates y Cuetes, on the Los Muertos Beach, in Old Town, Puerto Vallarta, 4pm to 6pm(plus) Tuesday October 16th.
In addition to Ron and myself there will be a drummer from the cruise and we may be joined by other mutual friends from the performers on the cruise. Ron is a multi instrumentalist playing guitar, piano & harmonica.
Please take a look at Ron’s website http://www.rtblues.com. Ron is one of the finest artists on the US blues circuit with a vast knowledge of the music. He is also a dynamic performer who always has the audience on their feet!
There’s also a video of us and more music and video on Ron’s website.
“Look, I got problems just like everybody else. I try to forget my problems when I play my music, and I try to create for the audience a way for them to forget their problems too. I try to get the people into the spirit. The blues is a spiritual thing. When I’m on stage I go into a trance.”
