The eclectic group of talented individuals who go by the name of the VALLARTA CHAMBER ORCHESTRA will be offering their annual contribution to the Christmas festivities this year at the AMERICAN SCHOOL (Colegio Americano), out by Plaza Marina.

The performance is scheduled for 8 pm on SUNDAY, 16th DECEMBER. I am told that the concert this year will include the Vallarta Chamber Choir (directed by Nick Salmans) presenting Vivlaldi’s Gloria along with the usual audience participation in your favourite carols. The orchestra is conducted by Rigoberto Mora.

For the last two seasons, Los Bambinos have packed the house at Santa Barbara, performing their own brand of hot and spicy music while delivering some of the most innovative arrangements to classic pop-rock songs you’ve ever heard–rhythmic renditions of the popular sounds that earmarked a generation of music lovers brought up on the likes of The Everly Brothers, The Beatles, and The Beach Boys.

These young men, four brothers and a cousin, are making sonic waves in Vallarta’s music scene. For the second year in row, Los Bambinos were voted “Best Musical Group in Vallarta” in the prestigious Puerto Vallarta Lifestyles magazine Reader’s Poll. And they’re catching the attention of important others beyond their hometown–music moguls and record producers who are mightily impressed with Los Bambinos. Yep, the word is out that Vallarta’s favorite band is on the cusp of making it to the Big Time.
