Puerto Vallarta weather is tropical so we have hot, humid summers and warm, pleasant, dry winters. The average daytime temperatures in the summer are 85-95f. and nighttime temps are 75-85f. In the winter daytime temps are 75-85f. and nighttime temps are 55-70f.
The rain season here is from July to October with heaviest rains in August. A typical rainy day here is sun all day until about 4 pm and then clouding over and thunderstorms until after dark. When it rains, it usually rains heavily in a short period of time and the streets often flood with up to 6″ of water running down them. Very few people consider rain to be a hindrance here. Life goes on, rain or shine. The weather is just part of life and activity, not an enemy of it.
