Busy Day at Puerto Vallarta Botanical Gardens…
Saturday, January 31 will be a busy day at the Vallarta Botanical Gardens. Dr. Luis Suarez Lopez will be giving a talk on “Tropical Diseases, Prevention and Vaccination,” and having a vaccination clinic. Meanwhile, the gardens are presenting a photography exhibition and competition.
Dr. Suarez will be offering Flu, Pneumonia, Typhoid Fever, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus boosters, and Yellow Fever vaccines. His talk will begin at 1 PM, and is free to the public. There is a 50 peso donation for entrance to the gardens. His talk is being sponsored by the Vallarta Orchid Society.
Come to the gardens early, have lunch, tour the grounds and orchid house, look at some great photos, learn how to avoid getting a tropical disease, get your much-needed vaccinations, and relax and enjoy having a “mental health” day.
The gardens are located 24 Km south of town, just 3 Km past Chico’s Paradise. The bus to El Tuito will stop at the entrance to the Gardens, and will return you to town. The gardens are open Tuesday-Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In order to insure that Dr Suarez has a sufficient quantity of vaccine on hand, if you intend to receive a shot, please send your name and the vaccinations you want to receive to pvorchids (at) gmail.com, before Friday, January 30. If you are unable to attend, but wish to receive one or more of these vaccinations, send your name and the vaccinations you want to the same email address and we will make arrangements for you.
