SUNDAY May 25
- VIA RECREACTIVA — 8 am to 2 pm. From the Sports Stadium to the Holiday Inn, Fco. Medina Ascencio (the main airport road) will be closed to traffic for a public walk, bicycle, run. Traffic will be diverted to the laterals.
- SUNSET MILONGA — 4:30 to 8 pm at the Hotel Rosita, at the top of the Malecon. Free tango lessons from 4:30 to 5:30 and then tango dancing until 8. Food and drink available for purchase.
- CONCERT — Municipal Band, beginning at 6 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE
- PUBLIC DANCE — the Sunday Evening Dance, 7 pm, traditional dancing to live music in the Presidencia Square, FREE
- THE MALECÓN — When the sun goes down, the Malecón comes alive. Come out and stroll the Malecon. It’s a Sunday tradition here.

- SPCA TOUR — noon. Meet in the Costco parking lot for a guided tour of the SPCA shelter. Car pool or bring your own ride. Reservations necessary: nicole@cupocity.com. No cost and the length of the tour is from 2 – 4 hours.
- EXPATS IN VALLARTA HAPPY HOUR — 5 -7 pm at Langostino’s on Los Muertos Beach. Reservations necessary. sarajwise@yahoo.com
- FIGURE DRAWING WORKSHOP — 7 – 8:30 at Cafe Mordida. Live nude models in studio. 70 pesos a session. Registration necessary art@mordidas.com.

- NEW MOON
- CENTRO VALLARTA ART WALK — 6 to 10 pm, visit 10 of Vallarta’s finest galleries in a casual evening of cocktails and art. Meet the artists. Free. Last day of the season is May 28.
THURSDAY May 29
- VALLARTA SCENE EXPAT MEETUP — 6 pm to 8 pm at Casa Isabel, on a hill overlooking Old Town. A lively *extended* informal happy hour get-together for expats, visitors and nationals. Everyone is invited.
- CONCERT — Municipal Band, 7 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE

- PUERTO VALLARTA’S BIRTHDAY — Puerto Vallarta became a municipality on this date in 1928 and an official city on this date in 1968. The celebration begins at 7 pm at Los Arcos Amphitheatre and continues until around midnight with fireworks at 11 pm.
- GALA DE MARIACHIS Y TORNEO CHARRO — At Arena Vallarta. Benefit for Cruz Rojo and Notary Club eyeglass program for kids. 100 pesos.
- SATURDAY FARMERS MARKET — At the Paradise Community Center on Pulpito in Old Town. 9 to 1 pm. Year-round (this is the “alternative market”).
- DOGS & CATS — SPCA Pet Adoptions, Los Mangos Library, 10 am to 2 pm. Every other Saturday… email
- PV WRITERS GROUP — PV Writers Group Meeting at the Boutique Theatre, on Basilio Badillo, corner of Naranjo just before the small tunnel., at 10:30 am til noon.
- ADOPTÓN — 11 am to 2 pm at Plaza Caracol. Many of the pet adoption organizations here in Vallarta get together and spread the word. The SPCA, the Acopio, The PURR Project, etc. Check them out…
