SUNDAY April 27
- VIA RECREACTIVA — 8 am to 2 pm. From the Sports Stadium to the Holiday Inn, Fco. Medina Ascencio (the main airport road) will be closed to traffic for a public walk, bicycle, run. Traffic will be diverted to the laterals.
- MERCADO HUANACAXTLE — 9 am to 2 pm in the La Cruz Marina. Last day of the season is May 11
- PUERTO VALLARTA OYSTER FESTIVAL — 1 to 10 pm at Cafe Mordida, Colonia Buenos Aires.
- SUNSET MILONGA — 4:30 to 8 pm at the Hotel Rosita, at the top of the Malecon. Free tango lessons from 4:30 to 5:30 and then tango dancing until 8. Food and drink available for purchase.
- CONCERT — Municipal Band, beginning at 6 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE
- PUBLIC DANCE — the Sunday Evening Dance, 7 pm, traditional dancing to live music in the Presidencia Square, FREE
- THE MALECÓN — When the sun goes down, the Malecón comes alive. Come out and stroll the Malecon. It’s a Sunday tradition here.

WEDNESDAY April 30
- 3rd ANNUAL CHAMACOS JAZZ FEST — 4 to 11 pm at Cuates y Cuetes, on Los Muertos Beach at the pier. Celebrating the international day of jazz. No cover.
- CENTRO VALLARTA ART WALK — 6 to 10 pm, visit 10 of Vallarta’s finest galleries in a casual evening of cocktails and art. Meet the artists. Free. Last day of the season is May 28.

- MAY DAY — National Holiday. Schools, government offices closed
- VALLARTA SCENE EXPAT MEETUP — 6 pm to 8 pm at Langostino’s on Los Muertos Beach. A lively *extended* informal happy hour get-together for expats, visitors and nationals. Everyone is invited.
- MARINA VALLARTA FARMERS MARKET — 6 to 10 pm on the boardwalk.
- CONCERT — Municipal Band, 7 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE

SATURDAY May 3
- DIA de la SANTA CRUZ — Carnival & fireworks at the Santa Cruz church at Cardenas and Aquacate. Crosses are placed on the tops of unfinished construction to honor workers.
- SATURDAY FARMERS MARKET — At the Paradise Community Center on Pulpito in Old Town. 9 to 1 pm. Year-round (this is the “alternative market”).
- VALLARTA TOURIST FARMERS MARKET — 9:30 am to 2 pm at the L. Cardenas Park (This is the “official city-sponsored market”).
- DOGS & CATS — SPCA Pet Adoptions, Los Mangos Library, 10 am to 2 pm. NO ADOPTIONS TODAY
- PV WRITERS GROUP — PV Writers Group Meeting at the Boutique Theatre, on Basilio Badillo, corner of Naranjo just before the small tunnel., at 10:30 am til noon.
