  • PAN AMERICAN GAMES BEGIN
  • CONCERT — Municipal Band, 7 pm, Presidencia Square, FREE
  • PUBLIC DANCE — the Sunday Evening Dance, 7 pm, traditional dancing to live music in the Presidencia Square, FREE
  • LATINOAMERICANO CONCERT : JARAMAR SOTO, TROVA — 8 pm on the Malecon at the lighthouse. Free.
  • THE MALECÓN — When the sun goes down, the Malecón comes alive. Come out and see and use the new Malecon!

MONDAY October 17

  • ROCK CONCERT FOR KIDS — Los Keliguanes. Peninsula Plaza, 8 pm. Free.

  • TRAFFIC ALERT — The streets of Paseo Díaz Ordaz, Argentina and Morelos will be closed from 6 am to 5 pm for the swimming competition spectators. Downtown traffic will be very slow and congested with 2-way traffic on Juarez and Guerrero.
  • PRE FARMERS MARKET MINI MARKET — 10 am to 2 pm, at the corner of Rodolfo Gómez and Olas Altas in Old Town. Some of the best of the Vallarta Farmers Market in a season preview.
  • DOGS & CATS — SPCA Pet Adoptions, Los Mangos Library, 10 am to 2 pm.
  • LITERARY — Vallarta Writers’ Group Meeting, 10:30 am, Los Mangos Biblioteca.
  • THE DELI REOPENING PARTY — 4 to 7 pm, at Daiquiri Dick’s Deli, Olas Altas 314. Samples plus a free raffle for great prizes. Solo Exitos DJ, Jessica Sanchez. Free.

 
SUNDAY October 23

  • TRAFFIC ALERT — Francisco Medina Ascencio Avenue, from 6 am to 4 pm, will be closed from the Hotel Fiesta Americana north to the Naval Hospital. You must find alternate routes. This closure is for the triathlon.
