- DRAG SHOW — by the “Originals,” who are no longer allowed to use the name “The Dirty Bitches.” At Viva, 50 pesos cover.
- THE MALECÓN — When the sun goes down, the Malecón comes alive.
MONDAY December 27
- PREHISPANIC DANCE PERFORMANCE — 7 pm, Park Hidalgo, Free.
- MOVIE SCREENING — PV Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Girls Will Be Girls (in English with Spanish subtitles), at No Way Jose, open at 11 pm, movie at 11:30 pm. Cash bar and free popcorn. No admission.
TUESDAY December 28

- MALECON SCULPTURE TOUR — 9:30 am, meet at the Millennium sculpture on the north end of the Malecón in front of Hotel Rosita. Led by Gary Thompson of Galeria Pacifico (the second oldest art gallery in Vallarta). The best. Free

- MALECON SCULPTURE WALK — 6:30 – 8 pm, Learn about the Malecon sculptures, Free

- VALLARTA SCENE THURSDAY NIGHT PARTY — 5 pm to 8 pm at Langostino’s on Los Muertos Beach. A casual happy hour get-together for expats and visitors.

- SOUTHSIDE SHUFFLE — 6 to 10 pm, Basilio Badillo and Constitucion in Old Town. Open house, street party hosted by local businesses and galleries. Music, drinks, culture… Free

FRIDAY December 31
- NEW YEARS EVE
- PEACE REAL WORLD HOME TOURS — 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, Benefit tours of exclusive and puebla North Bay Homes, departs from Bucerias, 450 pesos.
- NEW YEARS — Spectacular Vallarta New Years Celebration at the Malecon. Begins at 7 pm and goes on until after the fireworks past midnight. Free.
SATURDAY January 1
- NEW YEARS DAY — Many businesses are closed and Puerto Vallarta has a collective hangover.
- FARMERS MARKET – VALLARTA — 10 am to 2 pm at the New Paradise Community Center, Pulpito #127 (across from Coco’s Restaurant). These “farmers” are hardy souls to be open today…
- DOGS & CATS — Pet Adoptions, Los Mangos Library, 10 am to 2 pm… NO ADOPTIONS UNTIL JANUARY 8.
- LITERARY — Vallarta Writers’ Group Meeting, 10:30 am, at IFC. NO MEETINGS ON THE 31st.
